When do you need an apostille instead of a WES evaluation?
A Florida graduate applying abroad may be asked for an apostilled diploma or transcript. A person using education earned outside the United States or Canada may instead need an equivalency assessment. These are examples, not universal admission rules. Obtain the recipient’s wording before selecting an apostille, evaluation, translation or combination.
Can an apostille change WES document-submission rules?
WES’s country-specific checklist controls what must come from the institution. Its general guidance describes approved electronic institutional delivery or direct institutional mail in a sealed envelope. Do not open an envelope intended for WES to insert an apostille, or assume a scan uploaded by an agent replaces the institution’s submission. Arrange a separate record when a second recipient needs a differently prepared packet.
Does a certified translation establish degree equivalency?
WES does not provide translations and its FAQ requires official word-for-word translations of documents in other languages. Check your specific document list before ordering. A translator should accurately convey the source credential, not independently rename it as a U.S. degree. Confirm the accepted evaluator and report type with the recipient; do not infer that every organization accepts WES.
Which academic services are priced separately?
Request separate costs for the school record, evaluation, translation, document authentication and delivery. Evaluation review starts only after WES receives and accepts the required evidence, so a state apostille turnaround is not an evaluation deadline. OrazAva can provide administrative document support; it does not issue WES evaluations, government apostilles or admission decisions.
Need help obtaining your U.S. diploma or transcript?
We can coordinate with your school, arrange receipt of official records in the U.S., and organize the appropriate apostille and delivery. Start with an individual quote for the work your case requires.
- School communication and official-record request coordination with your authorization
- Receipt, preparation coordination and U.S. shipping included as specified in your quote
- Apostille handling, with optional translation and international delivery
Your school issues the records and controls release requirements. Your participation or signed authorization may be required. School fees and domestic logistics are itemized in the quote; international shipping is charged separately. This service is separate from the standard apostille packages.

Does apostille prove that my degree equals a U.S. degree?
No. Authentication of origin and assessment of academic equivalency are separate functions.
Can WES replace the university’s apostille preparation?
No. If the recipient also requires an apostille on the school record, follow the record’s competent-authority route separately.
Should I send my only original diploma to WES?
WES’s general guidance says not to send originals unless specifically required or requested; originals cannot be returned. Follow your own checklist.
