Can you use the existing diploma or do you need a replacement?

Do not alter, laminate or add your own statements to a diploma before checking the institutional process. UF, for example, asks for a physical diploma or copy according to the receiving country’s requirements and does not retain diploma copies for former students. Other schools use replacement-diploma orders. Ask whether the registrar will notarize a statement on the record or a certified copy, and whether the receiving authority accepts that form.

Why can school preparation take longer than the apostille?

Plan for document production, notarization, state processing and delivery as separate stages. A replacement diploma can take longer than the apostille itself. Obtain the current school estimate before committing to an overseas deadline. Translation and a foreign authority’s evaluation may add further time; neither is included automatically in state certification.

What certification must the Florida diploma carry?

Ask the registrar which signed diploma, copy certification or replacement it can prepare for Florida authentication. If the route relies on a Florida notary, Florida DOS requires the full notarial statement in English with the original notary signature, stamp and seal; a university seal alone is not enough. The public/private-school distinction published by Florida DOS expressly describes transcripts. It does not prove that any private diploma photocopy, or any public diploma printout, is accepted without school-specific preparation. Use the registrar’s diploma instructions and have an uncertain format checked before filing.

Which fees and stages belong in the diploma estimate?

The ordinary state apostille fee for an eligible Florida-notarized diploma is $10 per document. School production and preparation, translation, private assistance and shipping are separate. A replacement diploma can determine the deadline before state processing: UF, for example, says reproduction can take two to three months. Confirm the school’s current estimate and the recipient’s format before ordering the remaining service.

Should I send my only original?

First ask the registrar and recipient whether an acceptable certified copy or replacement can be used. Do not substitute a self-certified photocopy.

Is an eDiploma automatically apostille-ready?

No automatic equivalence should be assumed. Confirm the notarized paper or electronic route accepted by the issuer and state.

Does OrazAva issue the apostille?

OrazAva offers administrative assistance; the government authority issues the certificate.

Does a Florida diploma need a certified translation abroad?

The named university, employer or regulator decides. Ask its accepted language and translator requirements, and whether diploma, registrar/notarial certificate and apostille all need translation. If the apostille page is required, include the completed page in the translation scope. Translation and degree evaluation are separate.

What can make a diploma apostille request fail?

Typical preparation problems are the wrong state route, an unapproved printout/copy, missing original notary signature/seal or incomplete English notarial statement, or a missing request, correct fee or return arrangement. A separate overseas refusal may concern translation or academic recognition even after authentication succeeds.
